About the event
The European Commission and the European Investment Bank (EIB) organised the fifth edition of the flagship FI Campus event on 25, 26 and 27 June 2024 in Brussels. The tagline for this year's edition was 'Carrying the torch for financial instruments’.
The event featured a fireside chat with European Commissioner Elisa Ferreira and the President of the European Investment Bank Nadia Calviño on the future of Cohesion Policy and the role of financial instruments and the EIB.
FI Campus 2024 covered key topics related to 2021-2027 shared management financial instruments such as:
- Taking energy efficiency financial instrument to the next level
- Role of financial instruments in decarbonising our economies
- Boosting competitiveness and resilience of SMEs through financial instruments
- Measuring the impact of financial instruments
- Performance based financial instruments - lessons learnt from other funds
Participants could build their own FI Campus 2024 agenda on day 3 by participating in parallel sessions of their interest, including:
- Credit risk and energy efficiency residential investments
- Equity model financial instrument
- ESF+, AMIF and EMFAF financial instruments
- Financial intermediaries discussion
- Green investments
- Reflections on the future of financial instruments
