About the webinar

The European Commission – Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) organised the online webinar ‘Audit of financial instruments in the 2021-2027 programming period', on Thursday, 21 March 2024.

The webinar shared the key topics discussed between practitioners during the recent fi-compass Knowledge Hub during which participants, including representatives from DG REGIO’s Audit Unit with responsibility for financial instruments (FI), considered the new audit methodology published by the European Commission for the audit of FI in the 2021-2027 programming period.

During the Knowledge Hub event, participants had exchanged their experience and best practice relating to the audit of FI and considered some of the novelties of the new programming period including the combination of FI with grant in a single operation and the new framework for payments from the European Commission to managing authorities.
